• Deliver safe, evidence-based perioperative nursing care to patients throughout the surgical process.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain the operating room, ensuring sterile conditions and equipment readiness.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members during operative procedures.
• Anticipate surgical team needs and respond promptly to changes in patient status.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs, anesthesia response, and intraoperative events accurately.
• Adhere strictly to infection control, safety, and aseptic protocols.
• Assist with patient positioning, surgical counts, and equipment management.
• Participate in call rotations and provide on-call support per assignment requirements.
• Support surgical turnover and ensure readiness for subsequent procedures.
• Maintain professional communication and documentation standards at all times.

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN License (required)
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• 3–5 years of recent OR experience required
• Multiple prior travel contracts preferred
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation, and operating room procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, team-oriented environment
