Travel Histotechnologist Job

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled Histotechnologist for travel assignments in various healthcare facilities. This role involves processing tissue samples for microscopic examination, performing advanced histological procedures, and ensuring laboratory standards are met. Responsibilities
- Prepare and process tissue samples for microscopic evaluation.
- Perform embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting of specimens.
- Utilize specialized staining techniques such as immunohistochemistry (IHC) and special stains .
- Operate and maintain histology laboratory equipment .
- Ensure compliance with quality control and laboratory safety protocols .
- Assist pathologists in diagnostic procedures .
- Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and patient records .
- Travel to different healthcare facilities for temporary assignments .
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology, Biology, or a related field.
- Certification: ASCP certification as a Histotechnologist (HTL) required.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a histology laboratory.
- Skills: Expertise in tissue processing, special staining techniques, and laboratory compliance .
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to take on travel assignments and relocate as needed.
