Procurement Supervisor
This role will lead the Plant Procurement processes for Designated Abrasives sites in North America and will be responsible for: deployment of procurement best practices, deployment of KPI's to drive clear supplier and procurement function accountability; process standardization; so as to consistently meet Committed Plant Production Plans, while improving team productivity. These are the responsibilities associated with this role:

Prevention of supplier disruption to our manufacturing plants is of chief importance for this roles success.

Drive all Buyers to standardize best practice processes, so that there is commonality of process, KPI's, reports and training.

Understand Supply Risks 6 to 9 months ahead of their occurrence and communicate those risks cross-functionally and with Supply Chain, Operations and purchasing management team.

Develop plans to mitigate those Supply Risks and collaborate cross-functionally in taking action to prevent supply disruptions.

Manage Source Change Plans from one supplier to another.

Ensure Suppliers are held accountable for on-time delivery based on stated Lead Times.

Work closely with Key Suppliers where capacity is less than required to meet the Purchase Forecast and ensure a clear action plan exists to maximize capacity.

Responsible to ensure Suppliers are building monthly production plans that ensure the Committed Quantities are being produced/shipped

Measure & communicate on-time delivery by Supplier and ensure targets are agreed to for the quarter/year.

Ensure stock status is reviewed and acted on weekly and ensure requisitions are placed in a timely fashion.

Ensure SAP parameters are maintained by monitoring minimum, maximum safety, and current inventory levels; making recommendations to management for adjustments to levels.

Implement creative solutions and pilot them, but look to automate the process or report, once it is fully working and accepted by the stakeholders

Enforce safety rules and policies, so that all employees, contractors and visitors achieve a target of zero accidents.

Review of cost and budgetary commitments to deliver annually our financial commitments while achieving our customers' expectations.

Bachelor degree in business or a related discipline is preferred.

3-5 years of applied professional experience working in production in an industrial/manufacturing environment

Strong leadership and managerial skills within a multi-supplier business with the ability to positively influence others and manage change

Proven record of success managing a procurement organization with diverse processes and products

Driven, inquisitive, commanding, and hands-on problem-solving traits
-
Strong computer skills with expertise in SAP and Microsoft Office Applications

Passionate about safety with personal accountability and proven ability to drive same throughout an organization

Demonstrated experience in good business judgment/decision making, strategic planning/ goal setting, problem-solving/corrective action planning

Evident and effective interpersonal and team-building skills

Comprehensive knowledge of and experience in Supply Chain, Procurement/Purchasing philosophies, processes and related technologies

Proven ability to plan and implement at both strategic and operational level

Prior success operating in a highly matrix organization

Implementer of cultural change who can build a strong organization with emphasis on supply reliability for our customers

Demonstrated ability to building teams within, across and through all organization levels

The Saint-Gobain Bonded Abrasives manufacturing facility is the manufacturer of bonded abrasives; natural or synthetic grains molded into numerous shapes of grinding wheels. Super abrasive Wheels manufactures products using the world's hardest materials: diamond or cubic boron nitride (CBN) and are in the form of grinding wheels; used to shape materials that are too hard or too fragile for conventional abrasives.

Pay Transparnecy:
Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees' wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position, which is $92,000 to $142,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is TARGET BONUS12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $103,040 to $159,040. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
