Technical Product Manager Data Platforms & MLOps
At WHOOP, we’re on a mission to unlock human performance. WHOOP empowers members to perform at a higher level through a deeper understanding of their bodies and daily lives.
We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to join our Data Platform & MLOps organization. In this role, you will own the product lifecycle — from ideation and roadmap definition through development, launch, and iteration — for our Data Platform, MLOps, and Observability products.
You will collaborate with cross-functional partners including Data Science, Business Analytics, Product, and SIG to ensure our data ecosystem drives measurable impact and empowers innovation across WHOOP. You’ll focus on defining what and why to build, guiding engineering teams on how to deliver solutions that enable scale, reliability, and insight generation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the Internal Tooling and Data Platforms lifecycle — help execute strategy, follow roadmap for Data Platform, MLOps, and Observability initiatives
- Gather and prioritize input from users, stakeholders, and data-driven insights to identify the most impactful project features
- Translate business and stakeholder needs into clear technical requirements, success metrics, and engineering-ready specifications
- Partner closely with Data Platform and MLOps teams to design and deliver feasible, high-quality technical solutions that meet strategic objectives
- Work cross-functionally with Business Analytics, SIG, Data Science, and additional stakeholders to ensure the data platform empowers efficient experimentation, deployment, and observability
- Drive clarity and alignment across technical and business stakeholders by maintaining transparent communication and shared understanding of priorities
- Measure and iterate — define KPIs and feedback loops to assess product performance, user adoption, and impact
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that tools, processes, and systems evolve with WHOOP’s growth
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, Program Manager, or equivalent in data, software engineering, or technology-driven organizations
- Proven experience owning product strategy and roadmaps for technical systems such as data platforms, ML pipelines, or infrastructure products
- Strong technical acumen in data platform technologies, MLOps frameworks, and observability systems
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical needs into clear, actionable product requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — comfortable working across engineering, data science, product, and analytics teams
- Experience working in agile or hybrid environments using tools like Jira, Confluence, and Atlas
- Familiarity with AI-enhanced workflows that improve productivity, automation, and data quality across engineering and data teams
- A passion for building scalable, data-driven systems that empower teams and accelerate decision-making at scale
