Electrical Project Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Electrical Project Manager to lead and oversee all phases of electrical project development and execution. The ideal candidate will have strong field experience, proven project management skills, and the ability to own projects from pre-construction through closeout while maintaining budget, schedule, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of electrical project development and execution
- Perform take-offs and assist with estimating as needed
- Coordinate project layouts and oversee installation sequencing
- Develop and manage project schedules
- Lead and enforce jobsite safety standards
- Track and manage labor productivity
- Order and track materials to ensure timely delivery
- Maintain project documentation and reporting
- Prepare and manage project as-builts and closeout packages
- Own and manage project budgets from start to finish
- Communicate effectively with clients, general contractors, vendors, and field teams
- Lead and mentor field personnel to ensure quality workmanship and efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid Electrical License (required)
- 5+ years of electrical project management experience
- Prior experience as a field electrician
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, project management software, estimating tools)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with budgeting and cost control
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
