Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Principal Developer to serve as a hands-on senior individual contributor designing and delivering production-grade, cloud-native software solutions. This position will be a salaried full-time opportunity, and remote.
What You'll Do

Act as a hands-on senior individual contributor delivering production-grade software

Own design specifications and execute end-to-end development with minimal oversight

Build and maintain backend services and APIs using .NET and Node.js or Python
-
Design scalable, well-documented APIs focused on developer enablement
-
Define API standards, versioning strategies, and contract governance

Work extensively with Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes
-
Configure and manage observability, tracing, and monitoring infrastructure
-
Design systems with security, reliability, and scalability as first-class concerns
-
Implement CI/CD workflows and contribute to DevOps practices
-
Design event-driven and asynchronous systems using modern messaging platforms
-
Apply AI design patterns and evaluate AI-assisted development tools
-
Mentor developers through code reviews and technical guidance
-
Maintain high-quality documentation and engineering standards
-
Contribute to architectural decisions and platform evolution
What You'll Need
Required:
-
8-10+ years of professional software development experience
-
Strong proficiency in .NET (C#) and backend service development
-
Experience with Node.js or Python in production environments
-
Hands-on expertise with Docker and Kubernetes
-
Strong understanding of API design, observability, and distributed systems
-
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS)

Strong security, testing, and CI/CD fundamentals

Excellent documentation and communication skills
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

Experience with AI-assisted development tools

Consulting or professional services background

Multi-cloud experience

NoSQL and messaging platform experience

Cloud or developer certifications

$160,000 - $170,000 per year
The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role receive paid time off and may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
