Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Boston, MA. The candidate will Brings hands-on expertise in Kong API management and migration while designing, securing, and optimizing scalable API platforms for enterprise applications.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $47/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain API management and microservices solutions using Python, Java, and Kong API Gateway.

• Lead and execute Kong API Gateway migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and seamless transition of enterprise APIs.

• Implement API security, traffic management, rate limiting, and authentication to ensure reliable and scalable API platforms.

• Collaborate with application, cloud, and DevOps teams to integrate APIs with backend services and CI/CD pipelines.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize API performance, reliability, and availability in production environments.

• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to API standards, best practices, and documentation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• 8–10 years of experience in API development, API management, and microservices architecture.

• Strong hands-on experience with Python, Java, and Kong API Gateway, including API lifecycle management and security.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $47.00 per hour
