“Fixed-route transportation” is the transporting of school pupils on a predetermined daily basis to and from a set location for the length of the pupil’s school year. This includes: • transporting from home-to-school and school-to-home • picking up and dropping off at established bus stops • transporting from home-to-school-to an after-school activity • transporting to an after-school day care, • transporting from school to school • or a similar type of daily route.

Approved Locations:
Drivers can only take you to addresses approved on your transportation form.
Escorts:
An escort can accompany you if needed for translation or assistance, and this can be noted on the transportation request form.
During Your Ride
Professional Conduct:
Drivers should be courteous and respond to your needs.
No Unscheduled Stops:
Drivers are not allowed to make unscheduled stops at places like pharmacies.
Cell Phone Usage:
Drivers are forbidden from wearing headphones, talking on cell phones, or texting while the vehicle is moving.
Arrival Times:
Drivers can be up to 15 minutes late for a pickup, but if they are later, you should contact your broker. They must wait until at least 10 minutes past your scheduled pickup time.
After Your Ride
Report Issues:
If a driver is over 15 minutes late or has other issues, report it to your transportation broker.
