ResponsibilitiesThe main responsibility of the RF/uW Solutions Designer is to collect and translate customer requirements to an implementable, differentiated, solution using Keysight’s measurement technology in combination with bespoke development and/or inclusion of commercially available components.
The task encompasses requirements collection, definition of system and acceptance criteria and tests. In this process the Solution Architect is the central person between customer and Keysight teams.
As an A/D Solution Architect the main responsibility is to design test solutions addressing the requirements of modern systems for the Aerospace and Defense market. Amongst others this includes test systems for RADAR, Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations, Satellite communication, as well as systems for military secure communications and cyber security verification and test.
The position requires international cooperation with colleagues world-wide as well as various Keysight R&D centres.
The solution architect is part of an international team focused on solutions acquisition and development organised in technology and industry teams for wireless, Aerospace and Defense, and Digital.
QualificationsTo qualify for this job, the candidate shall meet the following requirements:
Education
- Master degree in any of the following disciplines or equivalent:
- Electronic Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Computer Science
- Physics
Technical Skills
- Up to date knowledge of Aerospace and Defense technologies and applications:
- RADAR
- Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations
- Space and Satellite
- Secure Communications
- Spectrum Monitoring and Signal Analysis
- Experience with RF test systems and technologies.
- Experience in designing complex test solutions.
- Experience in Software Development with Matlab, C#, C++, Python.
- Some experience with simulation and correlation of simulation to measurement.
Soft skills
- Fluent in English + local language
- Good communication skills (cross hierarchy, cultural, multi modal)
- Good negotiation skills, ability to formulate trade-off criteria (technical – commercial)
- Comfortable presenting to larger audiences
- Willingness to travel (domestic and international, multi day, multiple times per month)
Experience
- Relevant experience in RADAR and Electronic Warfare, Signal Processing and communications.
- Minimum of five years in a technical, customer facing role.
Considerations
- Test and verification experience, and/or senior level design validation / verification.
- Not necessarily from Test & Measurement background.
- Experience in definition and delivery of Statement of Work type consultancy projects.

The level of role will be based on applicable experience, education and skills; Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed below.
CA and MA pay range: MINIMUM $196,740.00, MIDPOINT: $262,310.00, MAX $327,890.00
MD pay range: Minimum $182,680.00, MIDPOINT $243,570.00 Maximum $304,470.00
