Job Description
The Entry-Level Deburrer plays a key role in a medical manufacturing environment by removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from precision-machined medical components. This position ensures that all parts meet strict quality and safety standards by following detailed work instructions, using precision tools, and collaborating closely with production and quality teams. Training is provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to start a career in medical device manufacturing and develop strong technical skills in a clean, regulated setting.
Pay: $19/hr + overtime available
Shift: First (1st) shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday
Responsibilities
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, and excess material from machined medical components using hand tools, files, abrasive pads, and deburring equipment.
- Polish and finish metal and other materials to achieve required surface quality and appearance.
- Inspect parts for defects and verify that finished components meet established quality specifications.
- Follow detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, and manufacturing procedures to complete tasks accurately and consistently.
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges as required to confirm dimensional accuracy.
- Handle medical components carefully to prevent damage to critical surfaces and features.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards and safety guidelines.
- Complete required production and quality documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work closely with production, quality, and manufacturing teams to meet daily production goals and support continuous improvement.
- Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA regulations, and internal quality requirements.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Basic hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to work with small parts and hand tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Basic familiarity with hand tools used for deburring, polishing, and metal finishing.
- Ability to work effectively in a regulated manufacturing setting and follow established procedures.

Team members regularly use hand tools, deburring equipment, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. The environment supports close collaboration with production, quality, and manufacturing staff while maintaining clear procedures and documentation standards.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
