Cleanroom Technician
This role focuses on assembling high-quality medical devices within a controlled cleanroom manufacturing environment. You will work extensively with small plastic and metal components, often under a microscope, to build precise medical assemblies in accordance with strict procedures and regulatory standards. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to learn new skills and equipment in a high-volume production setting.
Responsibilities- Assemble medical devices by combining plastic and metal components in accordance with approved manufacturing procedures.
- Process polymer materials to compose, test, or apply them on medical devices following documented manufacturing instructions.
- Perform detailed assemblies under a microscope for 6–8 hours per day while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
- Conduct in-process quality checks on subassemblies and finished products to ensure they meet quality and regulatory requirements.
- Use small hand tools, calibrated instruments, measurement equipment, microscopes, and test equipment safely and correctly.
- Participate in line meetings as needed to support production flow and communication.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to resolve line issues and suggest process or product improvements.
- Maintain cleanroom integrity by wearing proper attire and strictly following cleanroom practices and procedures.
- Keep accurate records and documentation related to quality, work in progress, test results, labor time, and special projects.
- Apply workstation practices and line clearance procedures consistently in daily activities.
- Follow general safety rules, manufacturing procedures, company policies and procedures, and applicable QSR and FDA regulations.
- Support general production tasks such as assembly line work, machine operation, packaging, and catheter-related medical assemblies as needed.
- Follow written work instructions carefully to ensure consistent and compliant production output.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently produce high-quality work.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for working with very small components.
- Ability to work with small plastic and metal components in a precise and controlled manner.
- Capability to maintain production levels in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Willingness and ability to learn and be trained on new skills and new equipment.
- Comfort working for extended periods (6–8 hours daily) on assemblies, often under a microscope.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and approved manufacturing procedures.
- Basic experience or comfort using hand tools and operating within a structured production setting.
- Microscope experience is preferred for performing detailed assembly and inspection work.
- Prior experience in a cleanroom, medical device, or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience with medical assembly, including catheter-related assemblies, is beneficial.
- Background in general production, assembly line work, mechanical assembly, or machine operation is an advantage.
- Familiarity with inspection, cleaning processes, and quality checks in a regulated environment is helpful.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions and production documentation.
- Comfort working in a professional, business-casual culture with clearly defined standards and procedures.

Work EnvironmentYou will work in a controlled cleanroom environment and wear personal protective equipment throughout the shift. To maintain cleanroom standards, you will not wear jewelry, makeup, eyelash extensions, fake nails, perfumes, or colognes while on the production floor. The dress code is business casual, and the culture emphasizes a professional, clean-cut appearance. Production operates on multiple shifts, including a first shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and a second shift from 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. New employees participate in a structured training period of approximately 5–7 weeks to learn cleanroom practices, work instructions, and equipment use in a medical-grade manufacturing facility.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Danvers, MA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.20/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
