Social Emotional Paraprofessional
Position: Paraprofessional
Location: Woburn, MA
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 2025-2026 School Year
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 2:15 PM
Pay Rate: $25/hour
About the Role
A school in Woburn is seeking an Paraprofessional to provide behavioral and educational support to elementary school students. This position involves implementing individualized programs designed by behavioral specialists and supporting students with significant behavioral and developmental needs.
Responsibilities

Ability to work with individuals with social emotional needs
-
Implement educational and behavioral programs and maintain accurate data collection and graphing.

Provide 1:1 or small group support in classroom, community, and home settings.

Maintain 100% visual supervision and adhere to bolting and lost child policies.
-
Assist with activities of daily living, as needed.
-
Support students exhibiting challenging behaviors, including aggression, self-injury, and acting out behaviors.

Utilize reinforcement strategies to increase positive behaviors and reduce interfering behaviors.

Collaborate with BCBAs and special educators to follow structured treatment programs.

Transition program for students from ages 14-22 years old.
Qualifications
-
Social Emotional experience required.

Ability to work with students exhibiting highly aggressive or self-injurious behaviors.

Strong data collection and behavior intervention skills.
-
Ability to remain calm and effective in challenging situations.

Comfortable providing hands-on support for daily living activities.

Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent required
-
Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice

Current CPR if applicable
-
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
-
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
-
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
-
Must be at least 18 years of age
