Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, CNC Milling & Surface Grinding

Step Into a Day That Runs on Precision

You arrive, scan the work orders, and walk the floor to get a feel for the machines. A Fenn machine is scheduled for a roll change, a chiller unit needs a full flush, and production wants a quick turnaround on a die set that requires surface grinding. You prioritize, coordinate with operators, and get to work—balancing preventative maintenance with emergent repairs and keeping the operation moving smoothly. When the Maintenance Supervisor is out, you take the lead and keep the team aligned.

What You’ll Handle

• Execute preventative maintenance across plant machinery and equipment, including roll changes on Fenn machines and cleaning/flushing chiller units.
• Perform daily surface grinding, including top/bottom die grinding, side die grinding, and large screw press die grinding.
• Apply advanced maintenance skills: welding, operating engine lathes, and CNC vertical milling machines.
• Leverage working knowledge of CAD/CAM and its applications to milling operations.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to plan and complete service and repairs.
• Carry out mechanic duties, including welding and following lockout/tagout procedures.
• Respond to emergency and unscheduled production equipment repairs with urgency and rigor.
• Oversee maintenance operations when the Maintenance Supervisor is unavailable.
• Experience with machinery of comparable complexity is welcomed.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 8+ years of maintenance-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Preferred: Experience in a tool or manufacturing environment.
