Position Overview:

The Landscape Foreman is experienced in landscaping and is able to work under minimal supervision. The position works as a member of the team and will lead and supervise a crew of 1-4 team members. Crew tasks may include site work, plantings, lawns, and hardscaping. The landscape foreman ensures that team members from R&B Landscaping safely and efficiently provides an exceptional landscaping service that exceeds customers’ expectations every step of the way.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Working with the project manager to implement and manage landscape projects from beginning to end
• Management of landscape crew; instruct, evaluate, train employees
• Lead by example, encourage teamwork
• Manage hours on site to stay on budget; Maintain accurate and timely records at each jobsite
• Problem solve in the field as needed
• Establish good relations and communication with customers, vendors, and team
• Monitors all tools, equipment, and machinery for needed maintenance
• Communicate with management daily any concerns/problems that arise in the field
• Quality control on all work completed

Skills & Qualifications:

• Demonstrated leadership abilities by effectively utilizing work crews to accomplish objectives
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus
• Is organized and able to set priorities
• Resourcefulness, flexibility, and the ability to work independently to complete work in a professional and high quality manner
• Foster teamwork: work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Horticultural knowledge; knowledge of tree & shrub specimens and trimming/pruning care
• Experience in driving trucks and towing trailers / heavy machinery
• Proficient in operating various landscaping tools/equipment (Bobcat, CAT excavator, bark blower, lawn mowers, etc.)
• Experience in snow plowing
