Location: Boston, MA 02215
Duration: 13 Weeks (02/02/2026 – 05/02/2026)
Shift: 10-Hour Day Shifts | 40 Hours/Week
Schedule:

• Primary: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM
• Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Rotating late shifts and on-call responsibilities

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – CVOR to join the Cardiac & Vascular Operating Room team at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The Surgical Technologist will support complex cardiac and vascular procedures in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in cardiac surgery, cardiac transplant surgery, and vascular/endovascular procedures
• Support valve replacement , thoracic surgery, thoracic robotics, and general surgery cases
• Prepare operating rooms with appropriate sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Maintain sterile field and assist surgeons throughout surgical procedures
• Anticipate surgeon needs and ensure efficient workflow during operations
• Participate in scheduled call rotations, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Adhere to all hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – NBSTSA required
• Minimum 2+ years of CVOR experience
• Must have hands-on experience with cardiac and/or vascular surgery
• Valve replacement experience required
• American Heart Association BLS Certification
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate web-based applications
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility (no local travelers)
• Travelers must not have worked at Beth Israel Lahey Health in the past 6 months

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a teaching hospital
• Advanced specialty experience in CVOR or cardiac surgery

Additional Details

• On-call rotations include cardiac, cardiac transplant, and endovascular cases
• Orientation held weekly (Mondays, excluding holidays)
• Parking may cost up to $43/day
• All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application
