Monarch Enterprises is looking for a highly organized and dependable individual to join our finance team and support our operations team. This role is responsible for managing accounts payable, completing cash handling audits and inventory counts, putting together weekly restaurant reports for ownership and assisting with general accounting tasks and reconciliations. The ideal candidate is organized, trustworthy, and comfortable working in a fast paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities:

• Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery receipts

• Prepare weekly check runs

• Ensure cash handlers are trained in policies and procedures regarding cash processing

• Conduct regular cash-handling audits across all departments and ensure compliance with policies

• Support managers with bank replenishment requests

• Monitor each location’s completion of weekly reporting requirements and notify management of any incomplete information

• Reconcile cash sheets from restaurants with deposits and monthly records

• Conduct regular inventory test counts at the various properties and assist when needed

• Reconcile cash accounts

• Assist in recording accounting transactions for month end close process

• Maintain up to date and organized files

• Ensure internal controls and accounting procedures are being upheld and identify areas for process improvement

• Perform other reasonable job duties and special projects as requested by Supervisors and Management

Job Skills & Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of office experience

• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (Associate’s Degree in Accounting preferred)

• Restaurant or hospitality experience preferred

• Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or cash-handling required

• Hard working, ambitious, team player

• Outstanding Microsoft Office skills, including Excel

• Ability to use discretion in handling confidential information

• High attention to details and commitment to accuracy

• Resourceful and inquisitive with strong communication and problem-solving skills
