Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Gastroenterology

As a Locum MD in Gastroenterology, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and managing various gastrointestinal disorders. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of providing exceptional medical services, and you will work closely with our dedicated team to ensure optimal treatment outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical evaluations and treatment for patients with gastrointestinal conditions
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as endoscopies and colonoscopies
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Educate patients and their families about gastrointestinal health
- Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in gastroenterology
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Massachusetts
- Associate level experience in Gastroenterology or a related field
- Proficiency in performing gastroenterological procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday
No call requirement
Shifts available at multiple facilities
Patient Census: 14-16 per day
Required procedures: Upper endoscopy and colonoscopy
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
