Amergis Educational Staffing is partnered with a school in Watertown, MA and is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 2025–2026 school year .

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 2025–2026 school year (8 weeks)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:05 PM

Location: Watertown, MA

Pay Rate: Up to $55/hour , depending on licensure and experience

The school nurse will provide a broad range of health services, including acute, episodic, and emergency care . School nurses manage the care of students with special health care needs and are responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a school health program as defined by the school district.

There is a possibility of floating to elementary and high school buildings. This is an in-person position with a business casual dress code .

The School Registered Nurse oversees the application of the nursing process and the delivery of student care in a school setting. The School RN supports the physical, mental and emotional well-being of students within the school setting. The School RN plays an essential role in promoting the health and safety, responding to medical emergencies, managing chronic conditions and serving as a liaison between families, school staff and healthcare providers. The School RN provides services in accordance with Amergis’ philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
• Bachelor's Degree, preferred
• School Nurse Certification as required by state or contract
• One year of school nursing, public health or pediatric experience, preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
