Job Description:
As a Carpenter at Mitchell Construction Group, LLC, you will play a crucial role in executing various construction tasks, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards. You will work on a range of projects, from new constructions to renovations, and will be responsible for interpreting construction drawings, measuring, cutting, and installing materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret drawings, and sketches to determine project specifications and requirements.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand tools and power tools.
- Assemble and install structures and fixtures such as frameworks, floors, and cabinets.
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, including project managers and subcontractors, to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations.
- Manage and maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably with 3+ years in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using various hand and power tools.
- Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good physical condition and stamina, with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications or vocational training in carpentry.
- Experience with residential construction projects.
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
