Med/Surg RN Job Details – Newburyport, MA

• Location: Newburyport, MA 01950 (Massachusetts nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Unit: Float Pool – Medical-Surgical & Telemetry
• Start Date: February 2, 2026
• End Date: February 28, 2026
• Duration: 4-week RN travel assignment
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a), every other weekend & holiday
• Hours per Week: 36 (72 hours biweekly guaranteed)
• Self-Scheduling: Yes (with management schedule balancing)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2150-$2300

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Massachusetts RN license preferred)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience
• Experience floating between Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units preferred
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units
• Float between Med/Surg and Telemetry units as needed for clinical support
• Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and accurately document care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios (5:1 days/evenings, 6:1 nights; Telemetry 4:1 days/evenings, 5:1 nights)
• Participate in self-scheduling and communicate special requests to management
