Travel Registered Nurse CVOR Job
Job Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) to assist in complex cardiac and vascular surgical procedures. This role is ideal for RNs with a strong background in perioperative nursing, particularly in cardiovascular surgeries, who thrive in high-pressure environments.
Responsibilities
- Assist in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries in the operating room.
- Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment .
- Monitor patients' vital signs and responses during surgery.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment as required for procedures.
- Administer medications, fluids, and blood products as needed.
- Document surgical procedures, patient progress, and post-operative care .
- Adhere to infection control and surgical safety protocols .
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in CVOR or perioperative nursing .
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) or Cardiac Surgery Certification (CSC) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient monitoring .
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, team-oriented environment .
