Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Radiology
Description
This contract position is ideal for an experienced associate looking to contribute to a dynamic medical practice while providing high-quality patient care in the field of radiology.
As a Locum MD, you will play a critical role in delivering exemplary radiological services, collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret a variety of imaging procedures
- Collaborate with physicians to provide comprehensive patient care
- Contribute to the development of radiology protocols and best practices
- Educate and mentor junior staff and residents
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in radiology technology and techniques
- Communicate findings effectively to healthcare providers and patients
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Radiology or eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a radiology setting
- Strong knowledge of various imaging modalities (MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Basic proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Scheduled: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
No call requirement
Daily Volume: 15-20 diagnostics & 3-4 procedures
PACS: McKesson
Dictation: Fluency
EMR: Epic
Board certification required
