Since 1960, D’Youville Life & Wellness Community has provided Greater Lowell and surrounding communities with Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care earning the respect of its peers and the trust of the community at large.
We are looking for an experienced Physical Therapy Assistant - PTA to join our dynamic team.
- Full-Time schedule.
- $24 to $32 per hour based on skills and experience.
Physical Therapy Assistant – PTA Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an approved technical program.
- Licensed and in good standing by the State of Massachusets and current registration (Should be a member of the American Physical Therapy Association).
- One year of experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
Physical Therapy Assistant – PTA Job Summary:
- Implements physical therapy resident care program as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Follows established procedures in the application and use of heat, cold, light, water, sound and massage.
- Utilizes special equipment: braces, prostheses, bandages, etc.
- Observes and reports the resident’s responses to the Physical Therapist.
- Completes required documentation.
- Maintains equipment and functional aids for cleanliness and good working order.
- Assists in maintaining inventory of supplies.
