VP/Retail Market Manager

East Cambridge Savings Bank’s Retail Division is actively recruiting for a VP/Retail Market Manager
Function :
Under the guidance of the Senior Vice President-Retail Banking, manages and organizes business development, sales and customer experience efforts for the Banking Centers in accordance with established Bank policies, procedures, and strategic goals.
We are looking for candidates with:
- Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in specialized coursework and training.
- Seven years of experience in the management of retail operations and sales in a Banking environment.
- Demonstrated ability to drive a team to meet sales goals which includes making recommendations based on data analytics.
- Very strong organizational, planning, analytical and managerial skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and proficient in Excel.
- Able to register as a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator as required under the S.A.F.E. Act.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversees, plans, and directs all sales activities to achieve established goals through Banking Center management. Works with managers in developing and implementing business banking strategies and consistent activities to meet business outreach growth goals.
- Ensures timely completion of reports, staff performance appraisals, training, etc. Selects staff, conducts periodic performance reviews, and provides training and support as needed.
- Oversees the development and monitoring of division training programs to implement and improve sales skills and the customer experience. Maintains strong relationships with Banking Centers through a consistent presence at all locations on a regular basis. Monitors the efficient and effective delivery of services by assigned staff.
- Formalizes, implements, and modifies sales strategies and marketing approach based on internal and external forecast and market trends. Establishes sales goals, tracks, and analyzes results and reports to Senior Management. Manages the progress and actively coaches Retail Division Management towards attainment of goals. Responsible for coordinating incentive programs to enhance sales efforts. Oversees Banking Center strategic sales plans.
- Keeps abreast of competitive developments within market area and makes recommendations regarding changes in products or procedures as warranted. Makes recommendations for improvement and system enhancements as needed. Ensures the effective communication between Banking Centers conducting meetings on a regular basis.
- Creates opportunities for to increase new business through meetings, networking, participating in community sponsored and industry events and activities, business information workshops, financial literacy seminars. Promotes Bank products and services when possible
- Responsible for Banking Center compliance with applicable regulations. Keeps abreast of all laws and regulatory developments related to retail banking activities and ensures ongoing compliance with applicable procedures and regulations. Assesses the potential impact of new laws and regulations on the Bank’s operations and recommends appropriate action. Complies with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including but not limited to the S.A.F.E. Act and its registration, renewal and updating requirements.
- Communicates effectively with external agencies, organizations, or the public in the timely reporting of information related to Retail Division. Responds to complex customer inquiries and/or complaints.
- Maintains knowledge of and ensures branch compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulatory requirements. Ensures that staff complete BSA-related training in a timely manner and that all BSA procedures are followed. Reports compliance related issues; identifies and reports potential suspicious activity
