Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement individualized therapy interventions following the OT plan of care to help patients regain independence
• Document patient progress accurately and timely to support continuity of care
• Assist patients and families with education to promote functional independence at home
• Communicate patient status updates clearly to the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols to ensure a safe environment

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Active state COTA license (or ability to obtain)
• Strong teamwork and patient care skills
• A passion for helping others achieve their goals

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Occupational therapy interventions and treatment techniques
• Patient care and education
• Clinical documentation best practices
• Clear communication and teamwork
• Infection control and safety protocols
