Senior Associate
Kforce is partnering with a premier PE/VC fund administration firm in Boston, MA to find a high-performing Senior Associate. This is a pivotal role for an accounting professional looking to transition from traditional public accounting into the dynamic world of private equity and venture capital. Summary: The Senior Associate will work directly with Fund Controllers and Engagement Managers, moving beyond basic support to become a key player in investor relations and fund operations. This firm offers a sophisticated environment where you can sharpen your technical skills while gaining deep exposure to the alternative investment landscape. Responsibilities:
- Fund Operations: Partner with leadership to prepare critical quarterly reports for Limited Partners and assist with capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations
- Investor Relations: Serve as a professional contact for investor inquiries, ensuring high-level service and communication regarding fund performance
- Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage management company accounting, including bank reconciliations and overseeing accounts payable/receivable
- Strategic Support: Provide technical leverage to Fund Controllers, ensuring the seamless execution of client engagements
- Collaboration: Work both independently and as part of a high-energy team, with occasional local travel to client sites
- Bachelor's degree (Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred)
- 1-3 years of public accounting, ideally with exposure to investment funds
- Proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks; Knowledge of alternative investments or investment accounting concepts is a significant plus
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple client deadlines
