Resident Technology Specialist
Train residents one-on-one on how to use their personal and 2Life devices and troubleshoot their devices at a basic level. The Specialist will work in person on 2Life campuses in Brighton, MA and Waltham, MA.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assist residents with their personal and 2Life-owned electronic devices such as Chromebooks, laptops, desktops, tablets, smartphones, and Fitbits
- Provide technical support and assistance to residents in:
- using devices
- performing various tasks on these devices
- connecting devices to the internet
- troubleshooting devices at a basic level
- configuring new devices
- Document services and resident attendance and requests.
- Maintain standards of resident confidentiality in all work.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Fluent in English; Knowledge of Russian preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows Operating System and MS Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace.
- Knowledge of relevant internet platforms, including Zoom, What’s App, Facebook, YouTube, Google, and email.
- Knowledge of pertinent hardware including, but not limited to, laptops, desktops, tablets,smartphones, and printers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must have patience and creativity in working with older adult learners.
