The Opportunity : As a Golf Retail Attendant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our members and guests. Your friendly demeanor, strong organizational skills, and passion for golf will contribute to creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all individuals who visit our golf shop. This role offers the opportunity to be a part of a dynamic team in a picturesque country club setting.
Duties and Functions:
- Greet and welcome customers with a warm and professional demeanor.
- Assist customers in selecting golf merchandise, including clubs, apparel, accessories, and equipment.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the golf shop, ensuring merchandise displays are visually appealing and well-stocked.
- Provide information about the country club's golf services, tee times, and upcoming events.
- Answer phone inquiries, schedule tee times, and manage reservations.
- Coordinate and manage golf club rentals for customers.
- Assist in managing inventory levels by conducting regular stock checks and replenishing items as needed.
- Collaborate with the golf events team to support the coordination of tournaments and outings.
- Stay informed about the latest golf equipment, fashion trends, and industry developments.
- Uphold and promote the club's policies, rules, and regulations among members and guests.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and courteous manner.
Qualification Standards:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior retail or customer service experience, preferably in a golf shop or related field.
- Strong knowledge of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic cash handling.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organizational skills with an attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as required.
- Passion for golf and a willingness to learn and stay updated on industry trends.
