Public accountant
The Megliola Group family of companies is a dynamic real estate organization with a diverse portfolio of services, that includes residential and commercial real estate brokerages, property management, and maintenance. We primarily work with Single and Multi-Family Homes and Condominium Associations.

We’re seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with extensive experience in real estate brokerage and property management accounting to join our leadership team and help drive continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all accounting operations across multiple business entities, including real estate brokerages and property management divisions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and real estate industry standards.
- Maintain accounting records for full management portfolio, including owner distributions, tenant deposits, due/rent rolls, and property-level financials.
- Monitor and reconcile escrow accounts for both brokerage and property management operations.
- Coordinate and review budgeting, forecasting, and variance analyses for each division and property.
- Manage general ledger accuracy, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Prepare tax filings, including 1099s, property taxes, and business returns, in coordination with external tax advisors.
- Support property managers and brokers with financial reporting, transaction tracking, and commission accounting.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and financial procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with leadership to provide strategic financial insights for acquisitions, portfolio growth, and business planning.
Qualifications
- Active CPA license required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- Accounting experience in real estate, property management, or brokerage operations.
- Proven experience managing financials for multi-entity real estate organizations (including both residential and commercial divisions).
- Strong knowledge of real estate accounting, including trust accounting, CAM reconciliations, rent rolls, and brokerage commissions.
- Proficiency in accounting and property management software (AppFolio Preferred)
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple business units.
