JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Delivery Driver reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Position accountabilities will include, but not limited to the following:
1.Performs the role of leader in his/her delivery team.
2.Operates the vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, obeying all traffic laws including the proper use of seat belts. Maintains a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and drivers medical card. Does not operate the vehicle and use a cell phone at the same time.
3.Inspects merchandise which is staged for delivery and if needed assists in all delivery preparation.
4.Loads vehicle in order of their schedule, verifying all items are correct. Pull all required accessories, cords, vent, etc. required to complete the delivery/installation
5.Responsible for full collection of all COD payments.
6.Completes necessary paperwork pertaining to sales orders, credit returns, even exchanges, repair pick-ups, repair returns, receipts, delivery log, inspection report, daily commission log, service requests and merchandise not delivered.
7.Perform all delivery tasks to not allow damage to merchandise being delivered and the customer homes, using all the provided tools and equipment (blankets, bubble wrap, dollies, etc.)
8.Handles add-on deliveries and road service as business dictates.
9.Maintain vehicle sanitation standards, keep equipment clean and orderly and reports all vehicle maintenance/repair issues.
10.Verify all delivered units are placed in the proper location, clean and free of packing and instructional booklets. All units will be leveled and tested where applicable.
11.Observe and apply the proper customer focused communication standards and techniques as instituted by company policy. Always verify the customer is 100% satisfied before leaving.
12.Maintains all equipment, tools, maps, etc. assigned to the vehicle.
13.Communicates with Dispatch and customers as established policy dictates, i.e. after every call, when running behind schedule, when problems/issues occur, etc.
14.Trains and supervisors Delivery Helper to perform his/her job in accordance with company standards.
15.Maintain proper image as dictated by the company dress code.
16.Perform all other tasks/special projects as needed.
17.Fill-in as needed on days/hours that are not the normal schedule.
18. Installs appliances after delivering

Valid Driver's License
No DUI HISTORY
Pass DOT Testing
