Job Summary : The Principal, Program Management is responsible for developing or championing new systems, concepts, or technologies. Recognized as an internal expert and thought leader in area of expertise with broad experience across multiple job areas. Works under consultative direction against annual goals to manage large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization. Communicates within and outside of the organization to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and concepts. Recommends tactics and strategies that directly impact the achievement of overall business or functional results

Essential Job Functions & Duties: Directs all phases of high visibility Unmanned Undersea Vehicle program from inception through completion.

• Drives program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs.
• Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
• Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
• Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
• Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.
• Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications.
• Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
• Expands the product line with the customer including production orders, technical change orders, and adjacent markets.
• Experience leading a highly visible and fast paced program, reporting to senior L3 Harris and customer leadership on a recurring basis.
• Knowledge leading a program with reportable Earned Value.
• Experience with development, transition to production, and low rate production programs.
• MS Office, strong communication skills.
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years of prior Program Manager to government customer and/or major prime contractor experience. Or Graduate Degree with 10 years of prior Program Manager to government customer and/or major prime contractor experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior Program Manager to government customer and/or major prime contractor experience.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Active Secret Clearance at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

• Undersea systems experience.
• PMP Certification.
