- Collaboration with Family and Specialists: Partner with parents/guardians to create, monitor, and adjust Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Coordinate with professionals such as occupational therapists, behavior technicians, and mobility specialists for comprehensive support.
- Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Track and report on academic, behavioral, and social progress regularly, providing detailed updates to families and adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Behavioral Support: Implement evidence-based strategies to address challenging behaviors and reinforce positive behavior with support from a behavior technician and BCBA.
- Emotional and Social Support: Offer nurturing and emotional support, helping students develop self-regulation skills and confidence in a safe, loving environment.
Qualifications:
- Massachusetts Special Education Teaching Certificate (required)
- Experience working with children with autism, cognitive delays, and visual impairments (required)
- Willingness to drive/commute to students' homes for up to 10-12 hours per week (required)
This is a wonderful opportunity to join a supportive team, make a significant impact, and advance your career in special education. If you are ready to make a difference, we encourage you to apply today!
