Requires a Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this PositionROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As a systems engineer for Network & Communications Systems (NCS), youll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for networking architecture, design, development, and troubleshooting.
We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences:
- Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) preferred
- Hands-on experience with configuration of multi-vendor routers and switches and network architecture
- network troubleshooting using Wireshark and similar tools to isolate issues
- Experience with IP Multicast configuration and trouble-shooting
- Experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 Virtual Private Networking (VPN) over Meshed military radio networks desired
- Experience with OpenVPX chassis and CMOSS / SOSA
- Experience with virtual environments [VMWare/Linux] and virtual devices: routers; firewalls; call managers; Bandwidth Virtualization (Seeker)
- Experience with basic configuration hardening settings to conform to STIGs and RMF security recommendations for Routers/Switches and other devices
