Genesis Spiritual Life and Conference Center in Westfield, MA, is seeking a full-time Program Director to oversee, manage, and develop the Genesis portfolio of retreat programming. The ideal candidate will possess:

1. In-depth spiritual knowledge, insight and experience
2. Strong commitment to promoting the well-being of others
3. Skilled in offering spiritual nourishment and fostering awareness
4. Proven experience in designing, managing, and implementing diverse programs
5. Training in spiritual guidance or a willingness to pursue further training
6. Background and experience with diverse spiritual traditions, demonstrating respect for multiple spiritual paths, interfaith dialogue and understanding, and an ability to create inclusive programming
7. Expertise in holistic spirituality , including: Care for Creation (Eco-spirituality), Contemplative living practices, Christian living principles, and Whole-person wellness spiritualities and approaches (mind-body-spirit integration)
8. Strong grounding in Roman Catholic faith

The role involves bringing the center’s mission and vision to fruition through retreat programming management. A graduate degree in theology, such as a Master of Divinity, contemporary spirituality, religious studies, pastoral ministry, or equivalent, is preferred.

Genesis, a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, established in 1976 is a retreat and conference center founded by the Sisters of Providence of Holyoke, MA. and is beautifully situated on 19.5 acres of peaceful wooded property. In 2016 Genesis was certified as Providence Arboretum and includes gardens, spiritual reflection points such as the Compassionate Curve pathway, a labyrinth, and a peace pole.

This Retreat Center is open year-round, welcoming individuals and groups of women and men of all faith traditions who seek time and space for reflection and a deeper relationship with God. It offers private and directed retreats, various sponsored and hosted day and overnight programs, and has 30 overnight guest rooms and two dining rooms. A free-standing Carriage House provides several conference and meeting rooms that can accommodate approximately 75 to 100 people.

Anticipated Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm. Flexible schedule to accommodate evenings and weekends as needed.

Salary Range: $50,000 – $55,000
