Assembler
Spice Assembler 1st-Shift
Responsible for packing and assembling a quality product in an efficient manner for production by performing the following duties
Responsibilities:
- Places loose or packaged materials or ingredients on scales and add or remove portions of material to obtain specified weight
- Reads formula book to determine types and quantities of materials to weight
- Follows all schedules and tasks that concern job quality
- Maintains perpetual inventory of materials on hand using the AX system
- Transfers weighed materials to production or storage areas
- Other duties as assigned
- Must maintain and comply with all HAACP, OSHA, USDA, SSOP, and GMP requirements
- Be willing to be cross trained within department to cover responsibilities if required
Requirements:
- To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos in English
- Must have basic mathematical skills
- Capable of regularly lifting and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to work on production floor; a wet, cold, and loud environment
- Previous blending experience is highly preferred

Pay Range
The base pay range for this role is $19.75 USD/Hourly. The listed salary range represents Kayem Foods' good faith estimate for this position and represents the minimum and maximum for new hire pay ranges. Ranges are reviewed on a regular basis. An employee's rate of pay within the range is determined by their qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued wage growth. This position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package and is eligible for an annual wage review. Kayem Foods complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
