Pay Rate: $28.00 – $40.00/hour (based on experience)
Overtime: Paid after 8 hours (not applicable during training)

Position Overview

We are a world-class manufacturer of precision-machined aerospace components seeking a skilled CNC Mill-Turn / Lathe Machinist to join our 2nd shift team in Haverhill, MA. This role is ideal for an experienced machinist with a strong background in high-precision CNC turning and mill-turn operations, working with advanced aerospace materials and tight tolerances.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC mill-turn and lathe equipment to produce complex components that meet strict engineering and quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mill-turn and lathe machines safely and efficiently
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical instructions
• Produce precision aerospace components to close tolerances and surface finish requirements
• Perform calculations and use precision measuring and inspection equipment to verify quality
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug machining processes and methods
• Monitor and maintain oil and coolant levels on a daily basis
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Perform all duties with a strong focus on productivity, accuracy, and quality

 

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Vocational School education with hands-on machining training
• 4–5+ years of CNC machining experience (5 years preferred)
• Hands-on experience with CNC mill-turn and/or CNC lathe machines
• Experience machining titanium, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys
• Ability to work within tight tolerances, including ±0.00015
• Strong understanding of surface finishes and inspection methods
• Proficiency with indicating and precision measurement tools
• Working knowledge of metric-to-imperial conversions (preferred)
• Team-oriented attitude with strong reliability and attention to detail
• Must have U.S. permanent residency or legally allowed to work in the U.S without restriction
