Job Title: Wintel Systems Engineer (Hosting & Virtualization)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Wintel Systems Engineer to support and optimize hosting operations across our North America (NAM) locations. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a lean environment, taking ownership of server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, and foundational storage operations to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and maintain physical and virtual server environments across NAM sites.
• Administer and support VMware infrastructure, including deployment, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Perform core storage administration tasks such as provisioning, capacity monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Proactively monitor system health, ensuring optimal uptime, performance, and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with global teams to support incident response, root cause analysis, and change implementation.
• Maintain accurate documentation, operational procedures, and system standards.
• Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and continuous improvement within the environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of experience in server/hosting infrastructure or Wintel engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server environments; working knowledge of Linux is a plus.
• Hands-on experience managing VMware environments in production.
• Foundational understanding of storage technologies and concepts.
• Experience working within ITIL frameworks (Incident, Problem, and Change Management).
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in a small-footprint, high-ownership environment.

Preferred Certifications

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
• Microsoft Certified (Windows Server or related track)
• ITIL Foundation Certification
