Description:

An established and growing laboratory equipment manufacturer in Billerica is seeking a motivated individual as an addition to our expanding supply chain department. In this position you will perform a variety of shipping, receiving, stocking, picking and packing duties, as well as some customer service and housekeeping tasks. The ideal associate is motivated, professional, conscientious and willing to learn and improve.

Responsibilities:

• Process inventory and maximize warehouse space usage
• Check, verify, load, stock and pull inventory to meet production demand and customer orders.
• Unpack received inventory and put away in appropriate stocking locations
• Cleans up and disposes boxes, packing material, and pallets, as well as general housekeeping of facility
• Loads customer orders into delivery trucks in proper sequence and according to freight bills.
• Operate warehouse machinery in accordance with established safety procedures as needed to maintain the warehouse stock.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Receive and unload incoming material and compare information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy of shipment

Skills:

• Basic understanding and capable of operating a computer terminal.
• Able to write legibly and be able to read, understand written/verbal instructions, and communicate to other team members.
• Dedication to accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and problem-solving ability
• Must work well both independently and with a team
• Ability to maintain poise during busy periods
• Able to work while standing for up to 8 hours
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Can lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, climb, push and pull and move at a quick speed of pace
• Must be able to work in a drug free atmosphere.

We are looking for a fast learner who has a strong work ethic and takes pride in their work. You must be interested in continuous improvement; experience with lean manufacturing is a plus. Reliability, punctuality and quality of work are important to us.

This is for a permanent full-time position to start immediately.

Salary/Benefits:

Salary range is $20-24/hour and commensurate with existing skills and experience.
