Power System Study Engineer
- Perform electrical System Impact Studies such as Steady State, Dynamic and Transient Stability analyses for generation, large load interconnections in PSS/E
- Perform Short Circuit studies in ASPEN
- Perform Voltage ride through (VRT) tests, dynamic model quality tests, model benchmarking
- Perform transmission planning & compliance assessments for bulk electric power system in PSS/E
- Produce and/or review technical reports and presentations for external Customers
- Timely completion of projects assigned while meeting project quality and project budget
- Develop or modify automation scripts to enhance the efficiency, speed and accuracy of technical simulations
- Stay up to date with relevant NERC, ISO/RTO planning procedures, policy changes and developments
- Contribute to the team’s research and innovation activities in terms of development of new techniques and/or analytical tools to further the team’s performance in terms of efficiency and/or capability improvements
- Cultivate customer relationships, technical advisory support for generations, and large load interconnections connecting to transmission system

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in electric power systems
- Minimum 2 + years of direct working experience to include transmission planning, expansion, generation and/or large load interconnection related analyses, NERC reliability standards such as TPL/MOD/CIP
- Minimum 2 + years of hands-on experience with power-system tool such as PSS/E
- In-depth understanding of fundamentals of electric power systems and renewable energy
- Strong organizational, interpersonal (written & verbal) skills, problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in English

- Knowledge of ERCOT Electricity Market planning & interconnection practices
- Demonstrable hands-on experience with one or more power system analysis software packages including ASPEN, TARA
- Active PE License
- Graduate level degree with emphasis on Electric Power Systems
- Working knowledge of automation scripts such as Python
- Knowledge of other Electricity Markets (such as PJM, MISO, NYISO, ISONE) planning & interconnection practices
