Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job

TLC Nursing
Great Barrington, MA
Embark on a meaningful journey as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery, bringing compassionate care to mothers and newborns in the heart of Massachusetts’ scenic Berkshires. This is more than a travel assignment—it's an opportunity to impact families during one of life’s most profound moments while growing your expertise in a high-acuity specialty. In Great Barrington, you’ll join a tight-knit obstetric team inside a welcoming community hospital that values evidence-based practice, teamwork, and patient-centered care. And when you’re off duty, the rolling hills, fall foliage, and cultural offerings of the Berkshires invite exploration, from outdoor adventures along the Housatonic River to world-class concerts and farm-to-table dining.

Location benefits: Great Barrington offers a warm, accessible base with a rich local culture and easy access to regional hubs across New England. You’ll benefit from a supportive, close-knit hospital culture that prioritizes patient safety, professional development, and work–life balance. For caregivers who crave variety, this assignment also opens doors to travel across the United States to partner facilities, expanding your clinical repertoire while maintaining the consistency of a trusted employer. You can enjoy stable, predictable scheduling within your contract while exploring new communities during your downtime.

Role specifics and benefits: As an L&D RN, you’ll provide expert evidence-based care through labor support, continuous fetal monitoring, admission assessments, analgesia and anesthesia coordination, postpartum education, and newborn stabilization when necessary. You’ll lead patient advocacy, collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, neonatal teams, and anesthesia providers, and contribute to readiness for emergency scenarios; you’ll also mentor junior staff and students when available. The role offers a structured path for growth within the L&D specialty, with access to ongoing clinical education, quality improvement projects, and opportunities to expand leadership responsibilities. Competitive compensation recognizes your expertise, with weekly pay in the range of $2,449 to $2,630, and the chance to earn a sign-on bonus, if eligible. Housing assistance or provided lodging helps reduce living expenses on assignment, and there are extension opportunities to renew or expand your placement as your career goals evolve. Guaranteed Hours: 0.0. Our travel program provides comprehensive support, including 24/7 assistance from a dedicated team while you’re traveling with the company, ensuring you’re never alone in navigating clinical or logistical challenges.

Company values: Our partner organization is committed to empowering nurses by prioritizing professional development, mentorship, and a culture of safety. You’ll work within a supportive, inclusive environment that respects clinical judgment, encourages evidence-based practice, and values your voice in shaping resident education, perioperative coordination, and patient experience. The company believes in recognizing contributions and providing a clear path toward broader responsibilities within the travel program or permanent roles if you choose to pursue them. You’ll find a culture that honors work–life balance while delivering high-quality care and continuing education opportunities to advance your career.
