  • Competitive Pay: $22.00/hour – $25.00/hour
  • Flexible Schedule: PRN, daytime hours
    • Scheduled based on resident transportation needs, including medical appointments and community outings
    • Typically approximately two days per week for appointments and two days per week for outings, depending on weekly needs
    • Start and end times vary based on schedules and destinations
  • Location: On‑site at German Centre – Edelweiss Village
  • Benefits: Not benefit‑eligible
  • No weekends or holidays required
What you'll do:
  • Safely transport residents to medical appointments, recreational outings, and scheduled community activities
  • Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle safely
  • Provide physical assistance as needed, including support with walkers or other mobility devices
  • Ensure all residents are properly seated and secured before transport
  • Maintain a friendly, patient, and respectful demeanor when interacting with residents
  • Communicate clearly with residents and staff regarding schedules and transportation needs
  • Follow all traffic laws and safe driving practices
  • Perform basic vehicle safety checks before and after trips
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior
  • Report vehicle maintenance or safety concerns promptly
  • Coordinate with Life Enrichment and nursing staff regarding transportation needs
  • Assist residents during outings as needed to ensure comfort and safety
  • Occasionally assist staff with resident activities when transportation duties are not required during a scheduled shift
What you'll need:
  • Minimum 5 years of safe driving experience
  • Clean driving record required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Ability to communicate clearly, patiently, and compassionately with seniors
  • Friendly, service‑oriented personality
  • Ability to follow schedules and communicate delays when necessary
  • Comfortable assisting residents with mobility needs
Preferred Experience & Skills:
  • Experience driving passenger vans
  • Experience working with older adults in senior living, healthcare, or customer service settings
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to assist residents entering and exiting the vehicle
  • Ability to lift or support light mobility equipment such as walkers or small wheelchairs
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend while assisting residents
