The Town of Sudbury Park and Recreation Department is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator to join our team at the Fairbank Community Center. This 35 hour per week position is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of diverse recreational activities and events for all age groups, including children, youth, and adults. We are looking for an energetic and creative professional to utilize our brand new facility, which includes a swimming pool, gymnasium, and multi-sport courts, to expand our community offerings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and organize a comprehensive schedule of year-round recreational programs and community events.
• Manage daily operations of activities held at the Fairbank Community Center and other municipal locations.
• Coordinate with department staff to ensure effective use of the pool, gym, and classroom spaces.
• Recruit, train, and supervise seasonal staff and program instructors.
• Market and promote recreation programs through digital and print communication channels.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and community needs to propose new leisure services.
• Provide high-quality customer service to residents and program participants.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including budget monitoring and registration management.
• Drive a 12-passenger van for program transportation as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Recreation, Leisure Studies, or a closely related field.
• Three years of experience working in a recreational facility, specifically in program coordination.
• An equivalent combination of education and professional experience will be considered.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Possession of a valid driver license.
• Ability to work a full-time 35 hour per week schedule.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range of $49,590 to $65,222; starting salary based on qualifications.
