Shift: 312 (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)

Weekly Gross Pay: $2532

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry Float Pool provides high-quality patient care across multiple units ensuring safe and effective clinical practices using the nursing process and evidence-based standards.

Responsibilities

1. Utilize the nursing process appropriately and maintain accurate up-to-date patient records in alignment with Nursing PI (Performance Improvement) standards.

2. Conduct and document comprehensive patient assessments throughout hospitalization including physical psychological and social evaluations and contribute to discharge planning.

3. Demonstrate proficiency in serving as Charge Nurse when assigned.

4. Display competency in using computerized nursing informatics and clinical information systems.

5. Serve as a resource for patient care orienting new staff and supporting team learning needs.

6. Participate in the evaluation of patient care quality and appropriateness and adhere to safety and infection control policies including blood/body fluid protocols.

7. Assess personal professional development needs and maintain records of ongoing education and competency. Stay current with clinical standards relevant to patient populations served.

8. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while representing the organization internally and externally.

9. Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Required Education

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

Required Certifications & Licensure

• BLS AHA

• ACLS AHA
