Dental Patient Coordinator
We are seeking a friendly, organized Dental Patient Coordinator to join our team! This role is essential to creating a positive patient experience and keeping our schedule running smoothly.
Responsibilities include:
- Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out
- Answer phones and schedule/reschedule appointments efficiently
- Verify insurance, explain benefits, and collect co-payments/balances
- Confirm appointments and follow up on unconfirmed visits
- Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times
- Prepare and manage patient paperwork, consents, and records
- Coordinate referrals and ensure records and X-rays are received
- Keep the front desk and patient areas organized and welcoming
- Assist with filling schedule openings and managing recall/ASAP lists
Qualifications:
- Previous dental front desk or patient coordinator experience preferred
- Familiarity with dental software (Open Dental a plus)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
