Travel Registered Nurse Stepdown Job

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Stepdown for travel assignments in various healthcare facilities. The RN will provide high-level care to patients who are transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical or general care units. This role requires strong critical thinking, cardiac monitoring skills, and clinical expertise to support patients with complex and changing conditions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to stepdown unit patients.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, respiratory status, and other vital signs .
- Administer medications, IVs, and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist with post-ICU recovery plans and continued stabilization .
- Document nursing interventions, assessments, and care plans .
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on recovery expectations and home care .
- Travel to different healthcare facilities based on assignment.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited RN nursing program .
- License: Active RN license in the state of assignment or compact license.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of stepdown or progressive care experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong assessment, telemetry monitoring, and patient care skills.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to take on travel assignments .
