Director, Physician Engagement / Medical Affairs - Cardiology
Candidates MUST be based in the Northeast US.
We are recruiting a Director of Physician Engagement / Medical Affairs for a growing cardiology medical device company. This role will lead KOL engagement, physician partnerships, and clinical education initiatives across the U.S.
This position will play a key role in strengthening relationships with cardiologists, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and leading healthcare institutions. The individual will help drive physician engagement strategies that support clinical adoption, education, and long-term partnerships within the cardiovascular community.
Location
Candidates can be based in Boston, Philadelphia, New York City, or other locations within the Northeast United States.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute physician engagement strategies focused on cardiologists, specialists, and healthcare institutions
• Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), physicians, hospitals, and academic medical centers
• Partner with leading clinicians to support medical affairs initiatives and strengthen HCP engagement across the cardiology community
• Lead physician speaker programs and clinical education initiatives that demonstrate the value of innovative medical device technologies
• Collaborate with marketing and cross-functional teams to develop physician-focused digital content, including expert interviews, case studies, and clinical insights
• Guide the development and delivery of clinical education and training programs for healthcare providers
• Gather physician and market feedback to inform business strategy, product adoption, and physician engagement initiatives
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced scientific or clinical degree such as MS, PhD, PharmD, or MD is preferred
• Background within medical device, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or clinical healthcare environments
• Experience working in medical affairs, physician engagement, KOL management, or clinical education roles
• Demonstrated success building relationships with cardiologists, physicians, KOLs, and healthcare institutions
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Experience leading physician education programs, clinical training, or speaker engagements
• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate physician feedback and market trends into actionable insights
• Willingness to travel nationally approximately 30–50%
