Pruning Specialist - High-End Residential Landscapes

We’re growing—and we’re looking for a knowledgeable, experienced Arborist & Horticulturalist to join our maintenance division.
Position Overview
This role is perfect for someone who understands that pruning is an art AND a science . You’ll perform expert hand pruning on trees, shrubs, hedges, and ornamentals under 15’, keeping each plant healthy, balanced, and beautiful. You’ll lead a pruning crew, support garden tasks, and help uphold the high standards Paragon is known for.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform precise, expert hand pruning of trees, shrubs, ornamentals, and hedges under 15’
- Apply proper pruning techniques and understand the correct timing for each plant species
- Lead and work alongside a pruning crew to ensure efficient, detail-focused, high-quality work
- Identify plant health issues and report needs to Account Managers
- Assist with garden maintenance tasks: bed care, seasonal color, perennial maintenance
- Maintain clean, safe, organized trucks, tools, and jobsites
- Represent Paragon with professionalism on luxury residential properties
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in aesthetic hand pruning and plant care
- Strong understanding of plant structure, growth habits, and PHC basics
- Ability to lead, motivate, and work efficiently with a small crew
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-driven
- Experience on high-end residential properties is a plus
- Valid driver's license required
