We are currently looking for a fulltime

Business Development Manager – Northeast Region

Based out of your home office in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maryland, or Pennsylvania you will report directly to the Director of Business Development for North America. As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for meeting defined sales targets for Electude’s e-learning solutions across the Northeastern United States.

Your primary customer base will include community colleges and career colleges, with additional outreach to vocational schools and select high schools. Electude operates on a recurring annual subscription model and boasts an exceptionally high customer retention rate. As such, this role emphasizes not only new business development but also ongoing account management and strategic upselling.

Key results areas

  • Growing the overall business in your territory
  • Identifying and qualifying prospects, and transferring them into the customer database
  • Driving the sales of new products
  • Retention strategy and up-selling to increase the profitability of existing customers
  • Identifying new opportunities in existing markets to increase market share
  • Representing Electude at relevant trade shows, exhibitions, seminars and conferences

Your profile

  • Post-secondary college degree or relevant technical education
  • At least five years’ experience in consultative selling preferred
  • Strong presentation and product demonstration skills
  • Relevant technical education or software (SaaS) sector sales experience is a plus
  • The ability to work systematically with a sales pipeline & CRM system
  • Ability to negotiate and influence at all levels to secure a successful outcome
  • Self-starter capable of independently building a portfolio of customers
  • Residing in the territory and able to travel, upwards of 50% (campus and customer visits, conferences, conventions, sales events), and as-needed, required
