Position Summary

The Assembly Technician I supports production by assembling products and sub-assemblies under close supervision. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals new to manufacturing who are learning assembly processes, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble parts and components following detailed work instructions
• Use basic hand tools and fixtures safely and correctly
• Perform visual inspections of own work to ensure quality standards are met
• Report defects, safety concerns, or equipment issues to supervisor
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Accurately complete basic production documentation
• Participate in training and cross-training opportunities

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and follow written instructions
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Willingness to learn manufacturing processes and quality standards
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing or assembly experience (not required)
• Familiarity with hand tools
• Technical or vocational coursework

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Manual dexterity and good visual acuity
