Call for Artists

Framingham Cultural Council
Reading, MA

Title: A.R.T. on the C.R.T. (Art on the Cochituate Rail Trail)
Theme: Moving

Overview:
The Art on the Trails outdoor exhibition will be installed on May 1, 2026, along the scenic Cochituate Rail Trail, and will remain on display until September 1, 2026.

This vibrant public art initiative is a collaboration between the Framingham Cultural Council (FCC) and the Friends of the Framingham Trails (FoFT), celebrating creativity, movement, and community connection through outdoor art.

Theme Description – “Moving”:
How does your art express Moving? The concept embraces both physical and emotional transitions—movement through space, time, and feeling. Think of walking or biking along the trail, sharing a moment with a friend, or reflecting on how art and nature can stir emotions. Movement may be literal—capturing the body in motion—or metaphorical, evoking inner transformation and serenity.
